Common Garden

Based at the Raggy Road Allotments in Chalvey, the Community Garden has been a thriving hub for over 16 years, bringing together nearly 20 members.

Alhamdulillah, the group manages three large plots divided into smaller, manageable spaces-perfect for individual or group use. This friendly group welcomes people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Members share gardening tips, grow their own fruits and vegetables, and enjoy the benefits of being close to nature.

In addition, the group organises outings to Kew Gardens, offering members access to a world-class botanical experience just a short journey from Slough. An-Nisa’s garden plot is open to all Sisters who wish to contribute, share ideas, and work together. We are currently in the process of making the garden beds more accessible by raising them, and we would greatly appreciate help from Sisters who are available to support this effort.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or a beginner, this is a great way to stay active, connect with others, and learn something new. Interested in volunteering or joining? Please get in touch with us for more details.
